Michael J. Porro, CFP, EA
Michael began his career in financial services in 1977 with Metropolitan Life, promoted from sales representative to sales manager in short time. Having completed his NALU and Advanced NALU studies, he enrolled in the College for Financial Planning and received his CFP designation in 1983. In 1986 Michael sat for his Enrolled Agent exams with the Internal Revenue Service. Since 1983 he has been a member in good standing of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, the National Association of Enrolled Agents since 1986 and the Financial Planners Association. He left Metropolitan Life in 1983 to establish his financial advisory practice and merged with another practitioner to create Faraldi & Porro Inc., providing fee-only financial advice since 1985. During his years with Faraldi & Porro, Michael undertook the management growth of the company as well as direct management of over $35 million in clients' portfolios. He established Michael J. Porro & Co. in 2003.
Christopher has worked at Michael J. Porro & Co. as a portfolio assistant and technical market technician since October 2008. Previously he worked at Caliber Financial in the same capacity, as well as at Greenfield Mortgage, as a loan officer, and Cellular Communications as a sales representative. He graduated from Northern Valley High School and had completed his Bachelor of Arts in Financed and Business Management at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey in May 2013. He passed Series 65 of the Uniform Investment Advisors Law Exam in July 2013.
Woongkee has worked at Michael J. Porro & Co. as an analyst in our research department since January 2015. Previously he worked at WAFRA Investment Advisory Group, Calvert Investment Management, Credit Suisse and ING Investment Management in the same capacity. He is a graduate of New York University with a Master of Science degree in Finance/Math 2001 and the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
